The Visionary Behind the Cove

From UK to Karen: A Journey of Care.

Our founder's journey began in the United Kingdom, working within facilities recognized by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for 'Outstanding' clinical excellence. After years of wroking in dementia and nursing care in the UK, a clear realization emerged: Nairobi families were looking for more than just a room; they were looking for a standard of care that didn't yet exist locally. The Caring Cove was born from a desire to bridge that gap—combining the rigorous medical governance of the British healthcare system with the warmth, respect, and familial values of Kenyan culture.

What We Stand For

The Core Values That Define Us

Dignity Above All

We believe aging is a journey to be honored, not a condition to be managed.

Evidence-Based Excellence

Every protocol we use—from our digital medication tracking to our reminiscence therapy—is rooted in international best practices.

Radical Transparency

For families, especially those living in the Diaspora, we provide a digital window into their loved one's daily life. You are never an outsider to the care process.

Bespoke Enrichment

We don't do 'group activities.' We do 'individual passions.' Whether it's gardening in the Karen sun or listening to classical music, we curate the day around the person.

The Experience Behind the Care

I spent years in the UK seeing what 'perfect' care looks like. I saw how the right environment and the right ratio could turn a person's final years into a season of peace rather than a season of decline. I opened The Caring Cove to give Kenyan families that same peace of mind. Here, your loved one isn't just cared for—they are cherished.

The Golden Thread of Culture

Culture

It offers a sense of shared identity, certainty and predictability, and influences what people think or do. This can impact on the quality of care and support you provide, which is why it's important that adult social care organisations have a positive workplace culture.
